Islamabad: Breaking News! The suspected Taliban militants struck again, killing six workers of a US-based Christian Aid Group, World Vision in North-western Pakistan. The aid workers were helping the earthquake survivors in in Ogi, a small town in Mansehra district. Â World Vision, the leading international humanitarian group, suspended its operations in Pakistan after the latest attack. Other aid organizations have also threatened to pull out, if they are attacked. Â Dean Owen, World Vision spokesman in Seattle, condemned the attack, saying "It was a brutal and senseless attack. It was completely unexpected, unannounced and unprovoked". Â It could be the handiwork of Taliban extremists, who accused the US Aid Organisation of indulging of religious conversion in Pakistan. |
