New Delhi: Breaking News! Russia will build 12 nuclear reactors in India. India and Russia signed 19 bilateral pacts, including three in civil nuclear field. Six nuclear reactors will be built between 2012 and 2017. Â The agreements will be signed after a meeting between Indian PM Dr. Manmohan Singh and visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin. India and Russia finally reached an agreement in Admiral Gorshkov Aircraft carrier and settled at $2.34 billion. Â Russian Atomic Agency's head Sergei Kiriyenko said that Russia will build 12 nuclear reactors in India. But the exact figure may go up further. Construction of the Haripur station in West Bengal would likely begin after 2017. Â India will purchase 29 MiG-29 fighters from Russia. Out of the 12 atomic plants, six will be built in Kudankulam and six in Haripur in West Bengal. |
