Paes-Black win Australian Open Mixed Doubles Title |

Melbourne: India's Leander Paes and his Zimbabwean partner Cara Black won the Australian Open Mixed Doubles Title, by beating Russia's Ekaterina Makarova and Czech Jaroslav Levinsky 7-5, 6-3. This is the second Grand Slam title for Paes-Black.
The duo had earlier won the US Open Mixed Doubles Title in 2008. Cara Black revealed that Paes had promised her last year that they would win the Australian Open Mixed Doubles title. It was the sixth Grand Slam mixed doubles title for Leander Paes. He has also won six men's doubles titles. Cara Black had so far won four Grand Slam mixed doubles titles and five women's doubles titles. |
