Colombo: Breaking News! Team India received a temporary relief, as it managed to retain the No. 1 spot in ICC Test Championship Rankings despite a 10-wicket loss against Sri Lanka in the first test. The second test match ended in a draw.

Team India earned a hard-earned draw against Sri Lanka in the second test match at SSC, Colombo. The team fared better and even took a first innings lead of 65 runs.

India now have 130 points, while South Africa is on the second spot with 119 points. Even if India lose the third test match against Sri Lanka, it will still retain the No. 1 spot.

Even if India win the third test match, their points will drop to 127. However, if they draw the match, their points will become 124, while South Africa and Sri Lanka will be tied at 119.

If India lose the match, they will have just 122 points. While they will still remain at the top, Sri Lanka will move to the second spot with 121 points.

In the ICC ODI rankings, Australia remains at top with 132 points. India is at the second spot with 118 points, while South Africa occupies third spot with 115 points.
