New Delhi: Breaking News! The Netherlands beat England 4-3 in a play-off match to win the bronze medal in the World Cup Hockey 2010. The Dutch had finished seventh in the 2006 World Cup.  It was an exciting match and both teams tried their best to outwit each other. However, the Netherlands prevailed over England to finish third and secured the bronze medal.  For the Netherlands, Teun de Noojier, Taeke Taekema, Klaas Vermeulen and Rogier Hofman scored the goals. For England, Ashley Jackson converted two penalty corners while Alastair Brogdon scored one goal. |
