Spain beat South Korea 2-0 to finish 5th in Hockey World Cup PDF Print E-mail

New Delhi: Breaking News! Spain defeated South Korea 2-0 to finish fifth in the World Cup Hockey 2010. With this victory, Spain also qualified to play in this year's FIH Champions Trophy at Moenchengladbach.

 

South Korea had to content with the sixth position in 2010 World Cup. During the 2006, it had finished 4th after losing to Spain in the bronze medal playoff.

 

Spain was leading 2-0 at the half time. Captain Pol Amat scored both goals for Spain. South Korea tried hard to bounce back, but the Spanish defenders did not allow them to come back into the game.
