Rahul Gandhi's Mumbai Local runs over Bal Thackeray's Shiv Sena PDF Print E-mail

Mumbai: Never before, Bal Thackeray and his party Shiv Sena received such a huge jolt. A person, challenged them, entered their den and did whatever he wanted and went back with glory. That is none other than AICC General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi.

The entire episode made Rahul Gandhi a 'Hero', as projected by the electronic media throughout the day, while Shiv Sena and its leaders could not do anything except for licking their wounds.

Rahul Gandhi proved that Shiv Sena no longer rules Mumbai. He came, he saw and he conquered before leaving for Puducherry. During his four-hour stay in Mumbai, Rahul gained what he could not do in the past few years.

Giving a snub to Bal Thackeray and Shiv Sena, Rahul Gandhi travelled by road, broke security cordon, interacted with Mumbaikars on the street, stopped an ATM to withdraw money and later boarded local trains to reach Ghatkopar.

Rahul boarded the local train to reach Dadar from Andheri and took another to reach Ghatkopar. He stood on the queue to book tickets, sat when he got a seat and stood up when there was no seat available. He was no VIP at that time - just a common man albeit with SPG Commandos.

"Mumbai is for All", reiterated Rahul Gandhi. He also thanked Mumbaikars for their wholehearted support. Rahul interacted with many people in Mumbai and listened to their problems. He had come to Mumbai to prove a point and he did that in style. Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray termed Rahul's train journey as a "drama", but he knows that Sena has lost the face today, as Rahul's Mumbai Local ran over Shiv Sena.

Great job Rahul keep it up. Really the journey was full of energy, power and a nice lesson to Thackery family, fictitiously who holds Mumbai as their personal assets inherited from forefathers. -- ALL IS WELL
