New Delhi: Breaking News! Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who is considered as the second-in-command after PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, has said that the government will seek a consensus over the Women's Reservation Bill, before tabling it in Lok Sabha.

The UPA government used Marshals in Rajya Sabha to evict the protesting MPs from RJD, JD-U and Samajwadi Party and passed the bill in the upper house.

However, political parties like BJP, DMK and TMC disapproved this, saying the MPs should not have been evicted from the house in such a "disgraceful" manner. The RJD, JD-U and Samajwadi Party MPs created ruckus in Lok Sabha and did not allow the house to run.

Finally, Pranab Mukherjee held a meeting with Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, RJD leader Lalu Prasad, JD(U) president Sharad Yadav, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, NCP chief Sharad Pawar and DMK leader T R Baalu over this issue.

After the meeting, Mr. Mukherjee said that the bill would be brought in Lok Sabha only after consultations with all parties. The Prime Minister is expected to call an all-party meeting to discuss the issue.
