Nagpur: Virender Sehwag led India's fightback in the Nagpur test with a cracking hundred off 134 balls, as India struggles to save the follow-on after the early blows. Sehwag was out for 109, as India were 192/4, chasing South Africa's 558/6 dec.
Sehwag and Badrinath added 136 runs for the fourth wicket after India lost Gambhir, M Vijay and Sachin Tendulkar for just 56 runs on board. Badrinath is batting on 35.
India need 359 runs to avoid follow-on, which seems a daunting task after the departure of top Indian batsmen. Skipper MS Dhoni has big responsibilities to carry forward the good job done by Sehwag. |
