New Delhi: Breaking News! The corporate accused B Rama Raju in the Satyam accounting scam except his brother B Ramalingam Raju was granted bail along with three other former employees by the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday.
Justice Raja Elango of the AP high court granted bail to B Rama Raju the brother of prime accused B Ramalingam Raju, former chief financial officer in Satyam, Vadlamani Srinivas, and other employees in the finance Ch Srisailam and Venkatapathi Raju respectively.
However, the solicitor general of India Gopal Subrahmaniam had requested the AP High court not to grant bail to any accused involved in the Satyam fraud case in order to have a clear and unbiased judgment.
Even though, last month, the high court had rejected the bail plea of Ramalingam Raju, but his brother Rama Raju bail was granted today in Hyderabad. Rama Raju was arrested in January last year being involved in multi-billion scam in Satyam Computers (now Mahindra Satyam).
